Homework

  • There is no choice on homework or class work. If classwork is not finished in school it will be sent home.  It needs to be finished.  If for some reason, because of something happening in the home, it is impossible for your child to complete homework, please write a note to me.  Homework builds skills and responsibility.
  • The rule of thumb for homework is 30 minutes for third grade.  Of course, even if homework is not assigned your child should always be reading 15 minutes a day, write as much as possible and study math facts.
  • There will be no homework on the weekends.
  •   Weekly Work
  • Assignment sheets are collected on Friday.
  • Work done during the week will be passed back on Monday for you to look at.
  • This is a way for your child and me to communicate with you as to how he/she is doing.  Please discuss the work with him/her.
  • The Weekly Work communication sheet is due back signed on Tuesday.
  • If you have any comments about the progress of your child, please feel free to write a note or call me.
